Rick holds an MBA in Finance from Youngstown State University in Youngstown, Ohio and is a Certified Financial Planner. Prior to establishing Marquis Wealth Management Group (formerly MNS Financial Management) in 1999, Rick was the Vice President of Finance for The Mariner Group and South Seas Resort Company. Marquis Wealth Management Group provides investment advisory, financial planning, tax planning and insurance review services for clients of the firm. Rick previously served on the Board of Directors for the United Way of Lee County, the Advisory Board for the University of South Florida, Fort Myers campus, the Bishop Verot High School Foundation board and the Board of Directors for Cypress Lake Country Club. He currently serves on the board of Classic Basketball, Inc., an organization that holds the nationally recognized City of Palms High School Basketball Tournament annually in Fort Myers. Rick is a member of the Estate Planning Council of Lee County, and the Financial Planning Association of Southwest Florida.
As a member of the community, Rick was active in South Fort Myers Little League Baseball as a team manager and as board member for 10 years, also serving on the Little League Board of Directors. In addition, he was also a coach for Lee County Youth Basketball and the YMCA basketball program.

As the managing member of our firm, Rick has developed considerable experience in serving families and individuals who have been confronted with “unplanned events” with significant financial implications such as the loss of a loved one that managed the family’s affairs or individuals who may be in the process of divorce. In addition to the emotional toll on a family, these events present unique planning and administrative challenges requiring an experienced and organized team. Rick is well suited to act on the client’s behalf as the lead professional in coordinating the efforts of each of the client’s tax, legal and insurance professionals, to ensure that “the team” is pulling in the same direction for the ultimate benefit of the client.
Rick and his wife of over 44 years, Cathy, reside in Fort Myers. They have three adult children, Casey, Jamie and Tyler and five grandchildren.
