Clients of Marquis who also own businesses
will sometimes need additional financial advice for their business. We
are able to assist the business owner with the understanding and
implementation of various employee benefits and retirement plans. Our
areas of expertise include:
- SEP (Simplified Employee Pension) IRA
- SIMPLE (Savings Incentive Match Plan for Employees) IRA
- 401-k
- Defined Benefit and Contribution Plans
- HSA (Health Savings Account) administrators
Marquis will assist the business owner in the
selection of the proper mix of employee retirement benefits for their
company, based upon the owner’s objectives and the number of employees.
We will then coordinate the creation and implementation of the selected
benefit plan. Finally, at the request of the business owner, Marquis
will agree to be retained as the financial advisor to the employees
participating in the plan for an additional annual fee. For this fee,
Marquis will manage each employee’s account in accordance with that
employee’s personal objectives, investment horizon, and tolerance for
risk. Additionally, Marquis will conduct an annual review of the
retirement plan for all employees of the business, including annual
contribution limits, and will answer any questions the employees may
have during that meeting – all at the client’s place of business.
